The Contravo has a linen fabric shade — no plastic, no metal. The blades retract into the housing as soon as you turn it off. What you're left with is a fabric ceiling lamp that in no way resembles a fan.

Natural linen, linen sand, linen sage, or linen mocha. The linen softens the light and gives a warm glow — where a plastic shade remains cool and clinical.
